Yes, the marshes east of the former Tilbury B power station. I spent my early teenage years fishing here in the 70s & 80s, the area was know as the cows patch, where those feisty beasts have gone is anyone’s guess. The area was full of holes left by bottle diggers following a vogue for the collecting of Victorian bottles and pot lids. I was told that the area was a Victorian dump and then later a post war landfill. I can only hope that modern landfill is a bit more effective.
